Recommended earbuds for listening to Brain Balance Music
The reason we feel that earbuds are the best option is that you can isolate your listening to stimulate either right or left hemisphere, although you can listen to our music through both ears and it will still have a stimulating effect. If you use regular headphones, to isolate the listening to just one ear, you will need to move one headphone away from one ear, so it’s a little more cumbersome and not as comfortable as using an earbud.
Although earbuds range quite a bit in price, we’re going to start our recommendation for a very suitable and acceptable pair at the lowest end of the price spectrum. With a full, crisp and clear sound, these are the Vogek tangle free flat cord ergonomic earbuds that offer high quality sound and are compatible with Samsung, Android, and more. Beyond the highly affordable price they are engineered with a very thoughtful design. The angle makes them more comfortable and easier to put on, and the tapered off area at the pack makes it easy to hold them steady between two fingers when putting them on.
Not only are these great for adults, but if you’re using Brain Balance Music for your kids, you might prefer to use a lower priced earbud without sacrificing quality. Sturdy too! Compatibility: 3.5mm audio jack compatible with any 3.5mm audio devices including iPhone, iPad, iPod, Mac, iMac, PS3/PS4, MP3/MP4 Player and more.
There are a variety of headphones, earbuds, speakers, cellphones, all options for listening to Brain Balance Music. On this page we will make further recommendations of equipment that will render the highest level in quality for listening for optimum results.
We are including a range of price options here to fit your budget.

Brain Balance Music has been utilized by thousands of adults and children to help them achieve a more balanced brain and life.
This is the only hemispheric based music in the world, produced in association with Dr. Robert J. Melillo and it can be used simply and enjoyably to help achieve a more balanced brain and body.
Imbalances in the brain are believed to be related to all kinds of physical, mental, immune, cognitive, social, academic and physical symptoms. Although this music is not designed to diagnose, treat, or cure any specific illness, it is designed to help stimulate the brain in a very specific and safe way to try to help you achieve balance between the two hemispheres.
There is no hard and fast rule of how to listen, but there are recommendations that may help render the best results.
FLAT RESPONSE AND NO EQ
Regarding headphones, we would recommend headphones with a “flat response” which means that no frequencies are favored, such as super boosted bass, as an example. This will allow the frequencies that the music was produced with to be the way they are intended. (In the near future we will feature our recommendations for specific models and brands.)
If you are listening to Brain Balance Music/ left brain stimulation music through speakers, it is best not to boost the bass. Instead leave all settings in the center, a more neutral position.
What is the reasoning here? Well, as an example, the left brain music is produced to not have bass frequencies, low notes. Some people may try to enhance the sound with EQ and boost the bass signal, but for stimulation of the left hemisphere, this would be counterproductive.
For left brainstimulation music, we do not want to have those low frequencies busting through!
For Right Brain Stimulation Music it’s fine to boost the bass response, because that will stimulate the right brain. But best to leave the rest of eq flat (no high frequencie tweaking).
But, Brain Balance Music is already produced with the bass in there, and of course mid ranges.
What you don’t want is high frequencies coming through with Right brain stimulation music.
Brain Balance Music Listening Instructions for optimal results!
DIRECTIONS FOR USE/ Right brain stimulation music: You should listen to the music three to five times a day for at least ten-minute sessions. An mp3 player or cd player should be used with one earpiece taken out or removed. In this instance, you will listen to the music in the ear opposite the side of the brain hemisphere that we wish to stimulate i.e. music in the left ear for the right brain etc. If a player with headphones is not used and instead music is played through speakers, an earplug can be used in the ear that is on the same side of the brain as we wish to stimulate. For example, to stimulate the right hemisphere, place the earplug in the right ear. With the earplug in place, music can be played in the background. In this instance, the music should be kept on for at least 15 minutes. If you cannot tolerate either a player or an earplug, simply play the music in the background at the same volume level for 15 minute intervals. Since Brain Balance Music is specifically designed to stimulate either the right or left brain, it will still have a specific stimulating effect without the isolation of one ear from listening.

Let us know how it’s going with our music! We want to hear from you!
Our beautiful “Paradise” album incorporates some elements that might have you wondering “Why the chants?” “What are they doing there?”
Dr. Melillo explains about the elements incorporated in our music and how they may be of benefit. He recommended these elements, and I, as the composer found them amazing to work with, putting me in a bit of trance, and I believe they can have the same effect on you too! I’m thinking, what better time than what we’re all going through right now, then to have something so deeply relaxing to listen to. Yes, you can benefit by just listening and enjoying! Any other benefits derived regarding brain balancing is an added plus!
I am also sharing with you here some of the sources and people involved in making this production of Paradise possible. Real authentic chants. Anmol Mehta, Trupti Mehta, a husband and wife team I was honored to be in communication with, who graciously allowed me to include their beautiful chants. Thank you Anmol and Trupti!
Here’s information from Dr. Melillo regarding the elements in our music:
Right Brain Stimulation Music The right hemisphere develops first, developing in the womb and for the first 2-3 years of life. It does not have conscious memories of that time but it does remember. We have deep subconscious memories of that time of developing; we are affected by hearing a muffled heartbeat or deep breathing. It reminds us of our early life and of the womb. Brain Balance Music tries to recreate all of these qualities. There are no words; we hear various types of chanting from different cultures and different religions. These evoke primal emotions for humans; they are activating the subconscious memories of early childhood.
They are very emotional, spiritual; they connect us to ourselves and the world around us and help us connect to the present, the now. They connect us to our self- awareness,to our body inside and out. The music changes frequently, incorporating low frequency sounds that vary regularly.
The environmental sounds create visual, nonverbal images of the world. With Brain Balance Music for right brain stimulation we create a slight sense of foreboding, the sense that something potentially negative may be about to happen. Doing so heightens the right brain awareness and attention and stimulates the avoidance sensation, the negative emotions, and vigilance.
Thunder, lightening, and rain are all sounds that caused us fear or anxiety as a child and may still evoke these emotions unconsciously as an adult. All of this engages the right hemisphere, it stimulates it and it activates it to process this information. A deep driving drumbeat has always affected humans, creating deep primal emotions, helping us connect to our thoughts and emotions. It helps us to get into a deep meditative state where we can connect to the now. It helps us to achieve a “mindfulness state”, allowing us to connect our right hemisphere to our body, emotions, and to a particular time in space. It allows us to have a greater appreciation of emotions and of life around us.
